Skills Day/Player Evaluations

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF SKILLS DAY?
Player evaluations are an essential component of Little League. Players across all divisions of play (except Tee Ball) are evaluated to ensure they are participating in the appropriate division for their age and skill level to promote the healthiest and most robust development environment possible. Additionally, evaluations promote fair and balanced teams throughout each division of play.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND SKILLS DAY?
All participants registered in the baseball and softball divisions listed in the schedule below are required to attend skills evaluations. Tee Ball players are invited to attend Skills Day for JERSEY FITTINGS ONLY.  Jersey fittings provide an opportunity to verify the proper jersey size selection for your child. If a player cannot attend jersey fittings during the recommended time period, he/she may come to the park during any other time period specified. If a player is unable to attend, the jersey size selected during registration will be provided.

WHAT EQUIPMENT IS REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE IN SKILLS DAY?
All players participating in evaluations should bring their glove, bat, batting helmet, and wear appropriate cleats. Players are encouraged NOT to share equipment. Parents are responsible for the proper disinfectant of any equipment shared with others.

WHAT IF MY CHILD CANNOT ATTEND SKILLS DAY OR CANNOT ATTEND DURING THE ASSIGNED TIME SLOT?
> MAJORS & ABOVE:  For the Majors division and above, evaluations with the player pool being considered for that division is mandatory. Players should only attend evaluations during the division's assigned time slot. Contact [email protected] if your child is unable to attend evaluations as scheduled to determine if an alternate time will be scheduled.

> MINOR LEAGUE DIVISIONS:
For the Minor League divisions, we understand conflicts may arise making it difficult to attend evaluations as scheduled. There is no need to contact us. If your child can attend during another Minor League division's time slot, please do so and let the check-in table know your situation. If your child is unable to attend and past evaluations are available, our Player Agent will utilize that information to help with the proper slotting of your child in the draft pool. Draft selection for non-evaluated Minor League players will be by random draw.
